RIYADH
— The Council of Ministers on Tuesday hoped the current visit of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, to the United States and his meeting with President Donald Trump and other high-ranking officials will have a good outcome.

The weekly session of the Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace, lauded the depth of relations between the two countries.

It reiterated its keenness to further enhance bilateral ties and cooperation to serve the interests of both sides as well as to bolster regional and global security and stability.

Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Assam Bin Saad said the Cabinet congratulated President Xi Jinping of China and President Vladimir Putin of Russia on their reelection.

The Cabinet approved the amendments in the bylaw of vacations under which government employees can avail arrears of their annual leave during the period not exceeding three years from the end of the year of its entitlement.

The government staff can take their annual vacation in full or in part from the beginning of the year of entitlement for a minimum of five days.

Dependents are entitled to get full compensation of outstanding entitlements in the event of an employee’s death. Employees who end service due to bad health are also entitled to full compensation of outstanding entitlements.
